MB STAR - somebody can help?
 

Hi guys,
I just bought a second hand MB STAR C4 TWINB DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLEXER installed on IBM T30 laptop with serial cable.
Software: XENTRY 14.1.6.0 01/2014, DAS 01/2014 (2013-12-05), WIS/ASRA V3.7.

The seller was not able to get the interface working, then he sold as fault. All the software seems to be working but I cannot get communication between the laptop and interface.
On SDnetcontrol window, under Select MUX tab I can see the PartD (status accessible) but there is no way I can select it. I think it could be just a configuration/settings issue... Any path to follow?

Looks like interface failure. Try to test laptop with another one if you have any

unfortunately I got only one interface... is there any way I can check if the interface is faulty?

speaking with a chinese engineer by skype, he think is a software related problem; software seems to be too old (looking at my laptop via Teamviewer, he said my software is not C4 but C3). On interface I only have serial connection, then, which software version would be the best?
