Hello everyone,
I have a question and need further assistance with a 2002 Mercedes A-Class A190 with an automatic transmission. I purchased this vehicle without a transmission control unit and installed the transmission control unit from an A160 (which I still had here). The vehicle would drive with it, but only up to 4th gear. As soon as it shifts into 5th gear, I get the typical F in the display on the instrument cluster. The error code is: P1889 Could someone tell me what the differences are between the transmission control units of an A160 and an A190? Or does anyone know how to code the control units, as I unfortunately get an error when coding the variants via DAS (07.2014). Vehicle data: Mercedes A-Class A190 L Engine: M116 E19 Automatic transmission: 722.700 Year of manufacture: 2002 Mercedes A-Class A160 L Engine: M166 E16 Automatic transmission: 722.700 Year of manufacture: 2001 Translated with DeepL.com (free version) |
